What a day! What a day! We went into a service station this morning. Trish said she didn't need the bathroom, so I went, after, she said she was going to nap in the camper for a few hours while I drove. She climbed in, I payed for the gas and went pee! I came out, got behind the wheel and turned on the radio. About 30 minutes later, I'm coming up to one of the many rest stops and there is Trish with her thumb stuck out. "Jesus", I said, " What's going on here? My mind was boggled, I stopped and she came smiling up to the truck. " You left me at the gas station", she said. She had changed her mind and went to the bathroom. The owner had offered to drive her to catch up to me, then she got the idea to hitchhike, we all sat in the camper, had a beer and a great laugh! We are settled in a campground called Stone Creek in Schertz, about 22 miles from our final destination. Tomorrow we have booked for a tour of San Antonio, the Alamo, River boat ride, Mission Concepcio'n, Mission San Jose, Japanese sunken gardens, Buckhorn saloon and museum, and a Mexican Pastry shop. Another day we plan on Sea World, so much for the daily average, so far we have spent only $61.00 per day to get here. That will change, we are about to lose our shirts in Schertz! As we blog, a steer is eating leaves off the tree behind our campsite, later we plan to use the hot-tub and pool, it's for adults only, noisy little buggers have their own pool!
