We took a whole day off driving, we are just a few hours from San Antonio in Bubba"s BBQ and RV Park, spent Sunday just chilling out, Bubba's BBQ Pit was closed on Sunday, so will try to stop here on our way back to Louisiana. We camped with transient workers from Mississippi and Georgia, working on a new coal-fired power plant here in Marquez, Texas! We travelled on many roads to get here that you could not pass on, so many times, we would say, " We got us a Convoy" , then try to find a place to pull over, even if we went 55, it's not enough for the locals! Paul should get new glasses, everytime he sees a cemetary sign , he thinks it says camping. Lunch most days in a cemetary is bad enough! Annette, remember the ducks on the house roof in Western Shore, well Trish just saw herons on the backs of cows in Texas. Beer has gone back to $20.00 for 30 cans, but they throw in a free bucket and fill it with ice! Mark, your truck would never win a contest here or Tenessee or Arkansas, but the hats are bit classier! I first read " Travels with Charley" by John Steinback in 1960, he travelled all the states with a truck camper and a dog. Where's the sense in that, a dog can't cook! I'm going to write a book called " Travels with Trish" , subtitled: She ain't no dog! Bubba just came by to chat while we are blogging, quite a character! Jimmy Flynn had just bought a small farm in Cape Breton, he was standing by the gate when along came a Texan tourist, the Texan said," This your property?" Jimmy said.: "Yep, I own one mile along the road and it goes back to that big pine tree over there and back to that stream on the other side." The Texan said," I own a farm and ranch back home, it takes me half a day to get to the back of it in my truck. Jimmy said: "I know how you feel, I owned a truck like that one time!"
