We dined at Dick's on the San Antonio RiverWalk yesterday. All the waiter's are "dicks", they say and do almost anything, we ordered two large draft, the waiter went away and 5 minutes later I hollered to him, "Hey, do you have same day service here!" He was talking on his cell phone. We asked another waitress to tell him to bring our beer. She said, "Don't blame me if you sat in the wrong section, that's your problem!" We finally got our beer, he continued to insult us and everyone else, all the waiters act that way. We sat near a couple from Oklahoma, they enjoyed it as we did, listening to all the comments from waiters and customers. One couple sat beside us, the guy from OK said , watch , I bet he has no sense of humour. While his wife was laughing at the funny stuff on the menu, he said the hell with this, we are not eating here and walked away. The place was more than crowded, no one cared! We asked if this happened often, yes he said," Sometimes we get some uptight assholes!" All this time you watch the river boats loaded with tourists drifting by. One customer shook salt all over his head, we never did get that one! We stopped on the way into town to ask directions, a young Mexican kid told us how to get to RiverWalk, then said he was also going there, would we mind if he jumped in the back of the truck. Go ahead we said, no tailgate, this is great said Trish, we will probably get stopped for transporting an illegal alien. Miles and miles of pubs, bars, cantinas, all along the river, quite an experience! The boat ride was a history lesson, we went at night when everything was lit up.
